Project summary
A Solar energy housing estate with 27 housing units in the region of Münster that is built on the properties of the local Protestant parish. It is part of a wave of new settlements in a rural region. The project is a model that aims to combine local responsibility for global climate protection and safeguarding the creation with individual living needs in a rural area. Therefore, PV, solar heat and a central heat supply along with a high level of insulation is implemented.

Urban scale PV aspects
The construction sites are dealt in long term lease and are connected to a central heating unit using pellets. Building a house on that site the owner is bound to implement at least 1kWp PV and a certain insulation standard. This settlement is situated close to the town center for all relevant institutions being accessible easily.
