SummaryFloriade is an international horticultural fair that takes place every 10 years, each time on another location in The Netherlands. In 2002, the event took place in the village Vijfhuizen, municipality of Hoofddorp, close to the Schiphol Airport. The newly developed exhibition hall has been designed to have the visual appearance of a Dutch greenhouse. The roof is covered with solar modules instead of usual glass plates. PV roofing, orientation: NE and SW, elevation: 18,5 degrees. The PV system is divided into two subsystems. The NE subsystem is connected to two blocks consisting of 2 x 200 kW inverters in master-slave operation. The SW subsystem is connected to two blocks consisting of 2 x 300 kW inverters in master-slave operation. The system voltage is 600 V DC.
