SummaryThe Stüdlhütte is located directly on the Grossglockner in the magnificent mountains of the national park "Hohe Tauern". It is in possession of the mountain club DAV, on 2.802m sea-height and lies in south-west direction underneath the main mountain crest. The origin "Stüdlhütte" was built in the year 1868 and has sunk about 0.4 meters at one side in the recent years. Therefore the mountain club decided for a replacement building of the Stüdlhütte with about 130 sleep places, because a renovation was not possible. A combination of renewable energies was installed for the energy supply of the hut. In addition to the 3.4 kW PV-system there were also 45 m² of solar thermic collectors installed.
