SummaryThe sun community Thüringerberg enables interested citizens, who have no possibilities at home, to use the ideally situated roof of the elementary school for solar energy production. Therefore 16 shareholders establish an association for the construction and operation of the PV-system. The existing roofing tiles were totally removed and a thick skin from coated sheet were constructed. Subsequently the structure of the PV-modules were mounted. Through this innovative overall concept a plant was created with a very good ventilation and also architecturally attractive building integration.
