SummaryCavehill County Primary School is located to the north of Belfast, and is located within the grounds of the previous school. It was designed to be a low energy building and was intended to include a building integrated PV system from its conception. The school is a single storey building with a total floor area of 1650m2. It combines best practice in energy efficient passive solar school design and sustainable building techniques. The school is fabricated using a highly thermally insulated timber framed construction, and heating is provided via a high efficiency gas-fired condensing boiler.
