SummaryThe highlight of the electricity production with solar energy in Bielefeld is definitely the photovoltaic system on the roof of the Schüco-Arena, the stadium of the DSC Arminia Bielefeld. When the DSC decided to upgrade the capacity of its stadium the public utility company Bielefeld directly proposed to use this new area for a photovoltaic system. With a power of 108kWp the system is one of the biggest systems on a German soccer stadium. 900 modules were installed in 8 rows and generate 85.000 kWh electricity per year. The score board inside the stadium informs permanently about the performance, daily and total yield of the system.
