SummarySOL4-Eichkogel is an office and seminar center for ecological planning, building and working which encourage the cooperation of companies in this sector. The project SOL4-Eichkogel is characterized by the following innovations: -Zero-Energy building with ecological building material like straw insulation, dried mudbricks interior walls and other innovative insulations. Thereby a heat requirement lower than 15 kwh/m²a and a heating load < 10 W/m² is reached. -Borehole heat exchangers combines with a heat pump provide the remainder heat requiremient of SOL4 without use of fossil fuels. -SOL4 has been solely built without environmentally compatible materials. -A facade integrated photovoltaic System fulfils the optically aesthetic requirement of the building and covers the power requirements.
