SummaryPhotovoltaic pergola installed in the Andalusia Technology Park in Malaga, Spain. Design objectives were to provide shading along a walking path, to demonstrate the feasibility of using different orientation and tilt angles for the PV modules, and to analyse the architectonic behaviour of PV laminates (structural and mechanical aspects). The design of the PV fields has a singular "zig-zag" shape; also the inverters room has a special design for aesthetical reasons. Monitoring of the PV system has been implemented using a novel concept based on wireless communication and OPC (Ole for Process Control, widely used for control purposes in industrial environments).
