|Summary||The project consists of an 80 kW PV grid-connected system integrated in one of the most emblematic buildings of Alcalá de Henares, Torre Garena.
In the design of the PV system a special attention has been paid to its integration in the environment, as well as aesthetics. The building’s facade and roof include 2 different solar PV power generation plants:
- The PV installation on the facade has been built using 948 PV modules,with a total power of 75.8 kWp, representing a saving of 85 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. The PV modules, of polycrystalline solar cells, have been installed at a 60º gradient to take full advantage of the available sunlight.
- The roof PV installation incorporates an array of 93 Glass-Glass modules of polycrystalline solar cells each with nominal power of 100 Wp each. They are located on the south facing roof with a gradient of 30º, being perfectly integrated into the building’s design.|
