SummaryWhen this school in Hallsberg was renovated it got a completely new façade with PV modules integrated on three of four sides of the building. The peak power is 39.4 kW and the PV façade consists of 289 polycrystalline glas-glas modules integrated with a façade system from the German company Schüco. The projects started when it was decided that the school should be renovated. The old façade needed a complete refurbishment and it was the architect’s idea to put PV panel in the new façade. However, the realisation of PV panels in the façade depended on the 70 % investment support that was introduced in 2005. The owners, the municipality of Hallsberg, are satisfied with the system and all the positive attention it has created.
